SolarEdge Technologies is the third largest manufacturer of solar inverters and optimizers after Sungrow and Huawei. Headquartered in Israel, the company supplies a wide range of inverters for both residential and commercial solar installations around the world. In addition, SolarEdge is a supplier of a range of optimizers and smart energy storage methods. What sets SolarEdge apart from other suppliers is that they do not manufacture conventional solar inverters, but "intelligent inverter systems", which use power optimizers to maximize energy production per individual solar panel.
